Frequently Asked Questions
*these protocols are fluid and subject to change with current AHS restriction
1. Do I have to be vaccinated to participate in Festival?
If you are over the age of 12, current protocols require proof of vaccination, or a negative covid result from within the 72 hours prior to your performance. This applies to all audience members in attendance, as well. The exception to this will be for the piano disciplines, which will be held at St. Barnabas, which has a large seating capacity and will not surpass the 30% allowable capacity. If you or an audience member has a medical vaccination exemption, the Festival Office must be notified in advance of attendance, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Medical vaccination exemptions will not be exempt from masking while indoors.
2. Do I have to wear a mask?
If you are over the age of 9, you will be asked to wear a mask at all times while indoors. You will be able to remove your mask while performing, and then replace it when you are seated. This applies to all audience members in attendance.
3. What other protocols are in place?
We will be santizing the keyboards between performers, and provide a plexiglass screen for vocal, musical theatre, brass/ww performers. Because of needing to maintain a certain distance between performers (in the above disciplines) and the adjudicators, the room set up will be slightly different, but with the REP in place we will still be able to accomodate a sizeable audience. We will be providing hand sanitizer but you must bring your own mask. The adjudicators will be provided with visors to use while adjudicating verbally.
